It all began in early 2023 when a curious nine-year-old, Camden Miller, asked his parents, “Hey, can we raise bees?” Erik and Chelsea Miller weren’t sure where the idea came from, but they loved how excited Camden was about it. Wanting to encourage his curiosity, the family attended a beekeeping seminar, and from that day on, Camden was hooked.

For Erik and Chelsea, beekeeping was more than just a hobby. They saw it as an opportunity to teach Camden valuable life lessons: work ethic, money management, and customer service. Most importantly, they wanted to show him that dreams can become reality with passion and persistence.

With the support of friends, guidance from the Audubon Beekeeper Association, countless seminars, and hours of research, the Millers turned a simple question into a thriving family business: Miller Ridge Bee Company.

Today, from their farm in Slaughters, Kentucky, the Millers proudly offer rich, local honey and handcrafted beeswax products, including lotion bars, beard balm, lip balm, and more. Every jar and bar is made with care, reflecting the family’s commitment to quality, community, and the hardworking honey bee.
